Takeda swam a 3:53.22 to just hold off NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anton Ipsen<\/strong> (3:53.38) in his heat. Smith (28.32) and Sanchez (28.39) will lead the swimmers in tonight&#8217;s elimination semi-finals as Smoliga sits in third at 28.49.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Jade\u00a0<\/strong>(28.93),\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ruck\u00a0<\/strong>(28.99),\u00a0<strong>Claire Adams\u00a0<\/strong>(29.00) and\u00a0<strong>Isabel Stadden\u00a0<\/strong>(29.08) will swim in tonight&#8217;s finals as there was a tie for eighth between\u00a0<strong>Rebecca Smith\u00a0<\/strong>from Canada and\u00a0<strong>Peng Xuwei\u00a0<\/strong>from China at 29.10. Ress followed that up with a win at the World University Games in this event and is set for a SCY breakout at ACC&#8217;s and NCAA&#8217;s later this year. Li is just 15-years-old and is one of the best swimmers in the world as she looks to be one of the few people to be able to challenge\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>in the long run.<\/p>\n<p>Li is ahead of US college swimmers\u00a0<strong>Hannah Moore\u00a0<\/strong>of NC State (4:14.16) and\u00a0<strong>Sophie Cattermole\u00a0<\/strong>of Louisville (4:15.43).
