Columbus, Ohio&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacob Eismann\u00a0<\/strong>has pledged to swim for the Wildcats beginning in the fall of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>He shared,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am excited to announce that I will be pursuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky! I chose Kentucky because of the beautiful campus and great team environment. I am looking forward to getting on campus in the fall of 2019 to begin working with my teammates! Go Big Blue!!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Eismann is a junior at Columbus Academy. The former soccer player is in just his first year as a single sport athlete. He&#8217;s already seen big drops since putting his full attention on swimming.<\/p>\n<p>His top times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 Back 49.02<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:51.81<\/li>\n<li>50 Free 20.76<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 45.18<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:41.77<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 52.70<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 1:55.33<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the moment, backstroke seems to be Eismann&#8217;s brightest spot. Since last spring he&#8217;s chopped a second and a half from his 100 time and taken a half second off his best 200 time. He&#8217;s also dropped a half second in the 50, two in the 100, and four in the 200 free since the spring of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0placed tenth in the 100 back at Winter Juniors East in December and was 23rd in the 100 free.
