NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Emory University has added a commitment from\u00a0Calvin Furbee\u00a0<\/strong>to join the defending Division III NCAA Champions next fall. Furbee is a senior at Grandview Heights High School in Columbus, Ohio. He’s a captain of his high school team and a member of the National Team at Ohio State Swim Club, where he is coached by\u00a0Kyle Goodrich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Winter Juniors qualifier is a butterflier and freestyler. His top times include:<\/p>\n

At last year’s UAA Championships Furbee would have been a 200 butterfly B finalist with his lifetime best time. He also would have been a C finalist in the 200 freestyle.<\/p>\n
Furbee holds high school records in the 200 and 500 free, 100 fly and 100 breaststroke. He’s also been an Ohio High School finalist in the 100 fly and 200 and 500 free.<\/p>\n
