Drexel senior\u00a0<strong>Tanja Kirmse<\/strong>\u00a0became the second Dragon to take home the league\u2019s Women\u2019s Swimmer of the Week honor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>MEN\u2019S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Kevin Basch \u2022 Delaware<br \/>\nSophomore<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>|<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Pottstown, Pa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basch\u2019s first weekly honor since\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1137897632\">Nov. 15<\/span>\u00a0comes after the sophomore won two individual events, highlighted by a new school record in the 1,000 yard freestyle, in a home loss to Drexel over the weekend. He won the 1,000 free with a record time of 9:18.78, which currently ranks first against CAA competitors for the event this season, and 89<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Division I. In the 500 free, Basch captured first place in 4:32.49.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>MEN\u2019S DIVER OF THE WEEK:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Jacob Lukens \u2022 Delaware<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Freshman<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>|<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Glenmoore, Pa.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lukens provided a victory for the Hens on the 3-meter board against Drexel, scoring 281.40, and followed with a second-place finish on the 1-meter (243.82). He is the third different CAA freshman this season to win the weekly Men\u2019s Diver of the Week honor.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>WOMEN\u2019S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Tanja Kirmse \u2022 Drexel<br \/>\nSenior<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>|<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Landshut, Germany<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After helping the Dragons defeat league foe Delaware on the road over the weekend, Kirmse was rewarded with her first weekly swimming award. The senior won three individual events\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1137897633\">on Saturday<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 the 100 and 500 free, and the 200 IM \u2013 along with swimming a leg on DU\u2019s second place 400 free relay team.
