These events include the Short Course World Championships, Diving World Cup and Marathon Swim World Series.<\/p>\n<p>The Short Course World Championships will take place in December in Hangzhou, China, while FINA&#8217;s newsletter promises an &#8220;innovative&#8221; Swimming World Cup, although it has not announced any additional details. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/prize-money-to-top-six-four-event-max-highlight-fina-2017-airweave-world-cup-changes\/\" target=\"_blank\">The organization made significant changes to the 2017 World Cup<\/a>, including placing limits on events and issuing direct access to finals for certain swimmers.<\/p>\n<p>In diving, the FINA World Series will be held over the months of March, April and May, while the Water Polo World League resumes next week with European preliminary action, with Croatia visiting Germany and Spain at Hungary.<\/p>\n<p>FINA also announced key changes to its open water professional circuits. The 10k Marathon Swimming World Cup will be re-dubbed the Marathon Swim World Series, and six stops for that circuit have been announced, with three locations still TBD.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Seychelles (SEY) \u2013\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1815613436\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 20<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Setubal (POR) \u2013\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1815613437\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 9<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Balatonfured (HUN) \u2013\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1815613438\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 16<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Chun-An (CHN) \u2013\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1815613439\"><span class=\"aQJ\">September 16<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Taiwan (TPE) \u2013\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1815613440\"><span class=\"aQJ\">September 22<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Abu Dhabi (UAE) \u2013\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1815613441\"><span class=\"aQJ\">November 24<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The FINA Open Water Grand Prix, meanwhile, will now be called the FINA UltraMarathon Swim Series.
