OVER the holiday weekend, we learned that Roland Schoeman could be out of the water for more than a month with an injury to his arm. <\/p>\n<p>The South African sprinter who trains in Phoenix posted on Twitter Monday that he has a Pronator teres tear with a hematoma in his forearm, which was diagnosed while he was back in South Africa for the holidays. A doctor told Schoeman that he will probably miss 4-6 weeks of hard training while he recovers. This puts a major crimp in Schoeman&#39;s preparation for a possible appearance at his third Olympic Games. South Africa will be holding its Olympic Trials in early April. <i>(Editor&#39;s note: Schoeman is preparing for a possible fourth Olympic appearance.)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Also last weekend, FINA released the official swimming program for the Olympics, and it appears to be largely unchanged from 2008. The only thing that looks to be different is the event order in the second finals session. The women&#39;s events on the second day are shifted around, while the men&#39;s event order stays the same that day.
