The SEC week has already begun with Auburn\u2019s Monday meet against Texas.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of other meets this week as the SEC gets into full swing in the new year.<\/p>\n

Now that the conference season is back, each week will consist of at least one all-SEC dual meet that is a rivalry meet. This elite conference is full of teams ready to go head-to-head and stir up the conference standings and even national rankings.<\/p>\n

The big SEC showdown of the week will be Georgia vs. LSU.<\/p>\n

Now, the Tigers aren\u2019t ranked and aren\u2019t on the same level as Georgia right now, but it is still a rivalry meet and a place the Tigers can make some noise.<\/p>\n

Georgia\u2019s Jay Litherland<\/strong> and Courtney Harnisch<\/strong> are coming off earning SEC Swimmer of the Week honors and will look to keep the Bulldogs rolling. Harnisch is a freshman and immediately making her impact felt. Veronica Burchill<\/strong> and Kylie<\/strong> Stewart<\/strong> are also swimming well for the women. Plus Freida Lim<\/strong> is coming off a platform victory at the Tennessee invite.<\/p>\n

The Georgia men have two other Litherlands and elite performers like Javier Acevedo.<\/p>\n

LSU has some great swimmers but diving could be the key to making a run at this meet. Juan Celaya-Hernandez<\/strong> won the 3-meter springboard at the Tennessee invite. Both teams have great divers and the diving events will be pivotal and closely contested.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the top-ranked Texas A&M women will travel to SMU for a dual meet.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Auburn hosts the annual Ralph Crocker Invitational, which will run Friday-Sunday and is a club meet.<\/p>\n

Also on Friday, Alabama faces Florida State in a non-conference battle.<\/p>\n
