Lessons with the Legends: Jack Roach<\/h2>\n

Swimming World<\/em>\u00a0continues a series in which top coaches share some of the secrets of their success. The January issue of\u00a0Swimming World Magazine<\/em>\u00a0highlights the many accomplishments of Coach\u00a0Jack Roach<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In more than four decades of coaching, Roach has mentored athletes from club to three USA Olympic teams (2008, 2012, and 2016). Early on, this former triathlete coached the following teams in Florida: Fort Lauderdale Swim Team (1972-73), Atlantic High School (1975-76) and simultaneously Plantation Central Park, Broward Community College and American Heritage School (1981-85).<\/p>\n

From there he went on and coached at Mission Bay Aquatics with\u00a0Mark Schubert<\/strong>, worked with the Texas Longhorn women’s team, was head coach and director of Texas Aquatics, coached the Mexican National Team, and has served as USA Swimming’s national junior team director.<\/p>\n
