PHIL Rogers, a three-time Olympian for Australia, lost many of his swimming medals during a home robbery on Tuesday, including an Olympic bronze medal he won in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers told Australian media that he and his family had left the house for only 90 minutes on Tuesday morning, and during that time thieves grabbed numerous items. Among them was the bronze medal Rogers won as part of Australia&#39;s medley relay in the 1996 Olympics. Reports do not mention the status of the bronze medal Rogers won at the 1992 Games in the 100 breaststroke, but Rogers does claim that several world championship and Pan Pacific gold medals were also stolen.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the medals, Rogers said his young daughter&#39;s money box containing $10 was taken.<\/p>\n<p>Selling medals on the black market is often difficult, as swimmers typically engrave their name on them, as Rogers did.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I would like my medals back one way or another,&quot; Rogers said. &quot;So if they&#39;re handed in anonymously that would make me very happy.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><a href=http:\/\/news.ninemsn.com.au\/national\/8393320\/rogers-loses-swimming-medals target=_blank>Read the full story from 9News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ADELAIDE, Australia, December 21.
