PHOENIX, Arizona, December 14. CATE Campbell wrapped up a great meet at the Queensland state championships in Australia earlier today with a fantastic time in the 50 freestyle. <\/p>\n
Campbell swam a 24.43, which moves her up to fourth in the world for 2011 and would have won the bronze medal at the world championships. Campbell told our Australian correspondent Ian Hanson about an herbal remedy that’s helping her battle post viral fatigue and bring her back to the form that helped her win a bronze medal in the 50 free at the 2008 Olympics. \nCate’s younger sister Bronte swam a 25.07, which is 22nd in the world, not bad for the 17-year-old.<\/p>\n
James Magnussen won the 50 free as well in 22.66. The time isn’t fast on a global scale, but Magnussen has said he’s working on his speed for the first 50 of the 100 free, and racing the 50 could help in that regard. <\/p>\n
