BOLLES&#39;s Ryan Murphy, 16, is on fire at the USA Swimming Short Course Junior Nationals held in Texas.  After a tremendous first night that featured three titles and a U.S. National Age Group standard, he kept on performing during night two.<\/p>\n<p>Bolles&#39; Ryan Murphy claimed his fourth gold of the meet thus far as Murphy, Teo D&#39;Alessandro, Joseph Schooling and Caeleb Dressel touched in 1:27.77 to win the boys 200 medley relay.  That effort demolished Bolles&#39; meet record of 1:30.42 from 2009. SwimMAC&#39;s William Wheeler, Logan Heck, Peter Brumm and Kyle Darmody finished second in 1:31.17. Nashville&#39;s Chatham Dobbs, James Goss, Paul Davis and Adam Cornett placed third in 1:31.28. <\/p>\n<p>Corvallis&#39; Jacob Pebley downed Murphy in the boys 200 free, 1:36.29 to 1:36.34. Murphy, 16, just missed the U.S. NAG of 1:36.05 set by Matt Belacanech in 2009. Dynamo&#39;s Matias Koski picked up third in 1:36.48. <\/p>\n<p>At the end of individual swimming for the night, Murphy crushed the 15-16 U.S. National Age Group record in the boys 100 back after missing the A final in prelims.  Murphy won the B final in 46.72 to set the meet record as well. That time smashed Murphy&#39;s previous NAG of 47.59 set earlier this year.  Meanwhile, Preston Jenkins won the national title in 48.05, while Radnor&#39;s Shane Ryan (48.68) and North Texas&#39; Aaron Greene (48.83) took second and third. <\/p>\n<p>Murphy collected his fifth old medal of the meet as Bolles&#39; Teo D&#39;Alessandro, Joseph Schooling, Caeleb Dressel and Murphy stopped the clock in 6:36.59 in the boys 800 free relay.  That effort demolished the meet record of 6:38.56 set by Dynamo in 2010. SwimMAC&#39;s Kyle Darmody, Peter Brumm, John Manchester and Logan Heck finished second in 6:39.11, while Dynamo&#39;s Joseph Bentz, Matias Koski, Robert Doles and Samuel Lewis wound up third in 6:42.20. <\/p>\n<p>DU Hilltopper Kelly Naze captured her second individual title of the meet with a 52.93 in the girls 100 fly.  That bettered the meet record of 53.17 set by Lily Moldenhauer back in 2008. Hershey&#39;s Meaghan Raab closed in for a second-place time of 53.78, while Sandpipers&#39; Olivia Barker claimed third in 54.11. Notably, Mankato&#39;s Danielle Nack won the B final in 54.07. <\/p>\n<p>Nashville&#39;s Paul Davis eclipsed the meet record in the boys 100 fly with a 46.83.  That time cleared the 47.32 set by William Hamilton last year. Bolles&#39; Joseph Schooling clocked a second-place 47.06, also under the meet record. Denver&#39;s Clark Smith finished third in 47.73. <\/p>\n<p>Saint Andrew&#39;s Tasija Karosas, Lindsey McKnight, Megan Moroney and Brenna Ruth claimed the girls 200 medley relay in 1:41.63.  That swim beat the meet record of 1:41.83 set by Baylor in 2008. Michigan Lakeshore&#39;s Courtney Bartholomew, Lissa Vandermeulen, Taylor Garcia and Haley Thompson took second in 1:41.99, while Dynamo&#39;s Kylie Stewart, Jamie Christy, Nicole Stafford and Kaitlin Kitchens earned third in 1:42.08. <\/p>\n<p>Bartholomew tied her girls 100 back meet record from 2009 with a 52.22 tonight. Karosas clocked a 53.45 for second, while Michigan Lakeshore&#39;s Taylor Garcia finished third in 53.80.  Garcia, 14, came up short of Missy Franklin&#39;s 13-14 U.S. National Age Group record of 53.16 from 2010. <\/p>\n<p>McKnight returned in the girls 200 free with a 1:45.37 to claim the title with a meet mark.  That effort bested the 1:46.01 set by Lauren Driscoll back in 2008. Fort Worth&#39;s Julia Anderson touched second in 1:46.12, while Hershey&#39;s Meaghan Raab placed third in 1:46.26. <\/p>\n<p>Irvine Novaquatics&#39; Ella Eastin posted a 4:11.87 in the girls 400 IM for the victory. Claremont&#39;s Sonia Wang finished second in 4:13.73, while Metroplex snatched third in 4:15.19. Dynamo&#39;s Joseph Bentz claimed the boys 400 IM in 3:48.87. Peak&#39;s Curtis Ogren placed second in 3:48.99, while Santa Monica&#39;s Eugene Tee earned third in 3:50.74. <\/p>\n<p>Crow Canyon&#39;s Heidi Poppe hit the wall in 1:01.08 for the girls 100 breast crown. Naze earned second in 1:01.75 after winning the 100 fly earlier in the night. SwimMAC&#39;s Maija Roses posted a third-place 1:02.00 to complete the top three. McKnight, notably, won the B final in 1:01.40. Eagle&#39;s Andrew Sovero posted a 54.77 to claim the boys 100 breast title. Blue Dolfins&#39; Jason Coombs took second in 54.92, while Bolles&#39; Teo D&#39;Alessandro placed third in 55.95. Nitro&#39;s William Licon took the B final in 55.80. <\/p>\n<p>Saint Andrew&#39;s Tasija Karosas, Lindsey McKnight, Megan Moroney and Brenna Ruth claimed the girls 800 free relay title in 7:20.39. Dynamo&#39;s Kylie Stewart, Haley Durmer, Nicole Stafford and Emily Ranzau took second in 7:20.79.
