NATHAN Adrian put on a show in the men&#39;s 50 free finale, winning in a sterling time of 21.85 at the USA Swimming Winter Nationals.  That effort missed his fourth-ranked season best of 21.84 from Summer Nationals by the slimmest of margins.  Only Cesar Cielo (21.52), Bruno Fratus (21.76) and Fred Bousquet (21.78) have been faster. <\/p>\n<p>Adrian, who won his sixth straight 50 free national title, regardless of long course or short course format, posted the 10th fastest performance of the year. Roland Schoeman, now swimming for the Phoenix Swim Club, earned second in 22.19 to tie for 25th in the world rankings. Bousquet, meanwhile, earned third-place honors in 22.37.<\/p>\n<p>Garrett Weber-Gale (22.40), Josh Schneider (22.51), Matt Grevers (22.54), Alex Coville (22.56), Gideon Louw (22.58), Pavel Babaev (22.75) and Adam Small (22.76) touched fourth through 10th in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>In a pretty stocked consolation heat, Cullen Jones clocked a 22.52 for the B final win. Masayuki Kishida took second in 22.64 to tie with Joseph Hale. David Dunford (22.74), Nick Brunelli (22.86), Jason Dunford (22.90), Tyler McGill (22.95), Shayne Fleming (22.98), William Copeland (22.99) and Andrey Seryy (23.09) also swam in the consolation.<\/p>\n<p>Graeme Moore stopped the clock in 22.82 to win the C final. David Walters placed second in 22.93, while Simon Burnett touched third in 22.99.
