The duo pressed on in the final by adding 393.18 points to finish atop the podium at 771.99.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis feels awesome,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cIt\u2019s really fun when I\u2019m with one of my best friends. We grew up together in the same town, so it\u2019s real special to win a first national synchro title with him. Couldn\u2019t be happier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The duo crafted three dives of 40.00 or more points in the final, including a forward 3\u00bd somersault pike in round three that earned 42.00 points for their highest-scoring dive of the day.\u00a0<strong>Briadam Herrera <\/strong>(Miami, Fla.\/University of Miami)\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Joey Cifelli <\/strong>(Chicago Heights, Ill.\/Purdue University)\u00a0took second at 753.90 points, while\u00a0<strong>Dash Enos <\/strong>(Studio City, Calif.\/University of Southern California)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Henry Fusaro <\/strong>(Scottsdale, Ariz.\/University of Southern California)\u00a0secured bronze with 730.02 points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The women\u2019s field consisted of two synchronized pairs, but Rosendahl and McAfee did not hold back as they totaled 257.28 points in the preliminary. They went on to hit a total score of 549.00 points for gold, with\u00a0<strong>Christy Cutshaw <\/strong>(Durham, N.C.\/University of Michigan)\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Julia Wortman <\/strong>(Wellington, Fla.\/Coral Springs Diving)\u00a0taking silver at 440.04 points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis is really exciting because we defended our title from last year,\u201d Rosendahl noted. Rosendahl and McAfee finished first in the event at the 2016 USA Diving Winter National Championships with a score of 510.36 points, improving their score by 38.64 points at the 2017 edition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2017 USA Diving Winter National Championships finishes\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_32697129\">tomorrow<\/span>\u00a0in Greensboro, N.C. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The final day of competition includes the women\u2019s synchronized 3-meter preliminary and final and the men\u2019s synchronized 10-meter preliminary and final. Competition begins at\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_32697130\">10:00 a.m. EST<\/span>\u00a0and the events will be combined.
