Morozov&#8217;s time of 20.45\u00a0also bettered the old championship record of 20.48 in the event, set by France&#8217;s <strong>Amaury Leveaux<\/strong> in 2008. The second fastest time of the semi-finals came from Britain&#8217;s <strong>Benjamin Proud<\/strong> in 20.70. The third spot went to Poland&#8217;s <strong>Pawel Juraszek<\/strong> with his 20.95. Kromowidjojo&#8217;s time of 50.95, was the only sub-50 second time in the field and it dipped under her countrywoman, <strong>Inge Dekker&#8217;s<\/strong> old record of 51.35 set in 2009. Swedish sprit star <strong>Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong> nabbed the silver in 51.03. Denmark&#8217;s <strong>Pernille Blume<\/strong> touched third in 51.63. Taking fourth was France&#8217;s <strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong> in 51.65 while <strong>Femke Heemskerk<\/strong> touched fifth in 51.93. Taking sixth was <strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> in 52.25. Great Britain&#8217;s <strong>Adam Peaty<\/strong> turned in a 56.24 from heat one in the semi-finals while Dutchman <strong>Arno<\/strong> <strong>Kamminga<\/strong> earned the third spot from heat two in 56.60. Britain&#8217;s <strong>Kathryn Greenslade<\/strong> and Hungary&#8217;s <strong>Kata<\/strong> <strong>Burian<\/strong> took fourth and fifth in 2:04.75 and 2:04.94, respectively. Taking sixth was <strong>Kira<\/strong> <strong>Toussaint<\/strong> out of the Netherlands in 2:05.55.
