ATHENS, Ohio, November 23. Ohio Swimming and Diving has signed five future Bobcats to the fold, the program announced Wednesday. The Green and White have just picked up Haley Clark, Addison Ferguson, Natalie Gray, Ariel Hodges and Courtney Klefeker.<\/p>\n
Four of the future Ohio student-athletes are swimmers, with Natalie Gray joining the Bobcats as a diver.<\/p>\n
Haley Clark will come to Athens from College Station, Texas. Currently attending Bryan High School, Clark is a very versatile swimmer who competes in sprint free, backstroke and butterfly events. She will fit in with the Bobcats nicely and will see action in sprint and middle-distance events. Clark also swims for the Aggie Swim Club in College Station and has been a Texas State High School Finalist. She comes from a Bobcat background, as both of her parents attended Ohio University and competed as swimmers for the Green and White.<\/p>\n
Addison (Addy) Ferguson is set to join the Bobcats from Lodi Cloverleaf High School in Westfield Center, Ohio. She is a backstroke and butterfly swimmer who has been an Ohio State High School Finalist. Outside of her high school team, she competes with the Akron Firestone Swim Club. Ferguson is described as a raw talent who has strong underwater kicks and streamlines.<\/p>\n
A native of Saint Louis, Missouri, Natalie Gray is the lone diver in the class. She has had a very impressive high school career, becoming an AAU National Finalist in both one and three-meter diving. While competing for North High School, Gray was a Missouri State High School Runner Up in 2011. In addition to competing with her high school squad, Gray also competes for the Clayton Diving Team.<\/p>\n
Ariel Hodges will join the Green and White from Warren, Michigan. A very versatile swimmer, Hodges competes in the individual medley, breaststroke and butterfly events. While competing for the Oakland Live Y'ers, Hodges became a YMCA National Championship Finalist.<\/p>\n
Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and formerly a teammate of current Bobcats Tori Bagan and Kristen Witham, Courtney Klefeker is an individual medley and breaststroke swimmer. She comes from a strong program at Homestead High School. Klefeker has had a very strong high school career, earning Indiana State High School Finalist honors. When not swimming for Homestead, she competes for the SWAC Aquatic Team.<\/p>\n
The Bobcats will next be in action on Dec. 2-4 when they compete in the 2011 Zippy Invitational.<\/p>\n
