He never trailed, and Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aleksandr Krasnykh<\/strong>, who won the 400 free on day one, had no chance of catching up.<\/p>\n<p>Krasnykh finished second in 1:42.22, coming on strong over the back half after sitting in sixth at the halfway point, while Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Duncan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>took the bronze in 1:43.07.<\/p>\n<p>Estonia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kregor Zirk\u00a0<\/strong>was fourth in 1:43.84, followed by the Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kyle Stolk<\/strong> (1:44.03) and Ireland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jordan Sloan<\/strong> (1:44.12).
