During the Saturday evening session at the NCAP Invite, the NOVA of Virginia 13-14 girls broke a National Age Group record in the 400 medley relay<\/a>, while five swimmers picked up multiple victories each.<\/p>\n

The quartet of\u00a0Josephine Fuller<\/strong>, Grace Sheble<\/strong>, Caroline Sheble<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Olivia Erickson\u00a0<\/strong>posted a time of 3:44.77 in the aforementioned relay, beating the previous National Age Group record of 3:45.02 set by AquaJets in 2012.<\/p>\n

In the senior age group, Central Bucks’\u00a0Morgan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>was the women’s star of the night, winning both the 50 free (22.72) and 199 back (54.21). Nation’s Capital’s\u00a0Cassidy Bayer\u00a0<\/strong>posted her first win of the meet with a 1:56.08 in the 200 fly, while Machine’s\u00a0Anna Keating\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 breast (2:12.67) and\u00a0NCAP’s\u00a0Chase Travis\u00a0<\/strong>added a win in the 500 free to her earlier win in the 1650 free, touching in 4:44.34.<\/p>\n

In the open men’s competition, NCAP’s\u00a0Luke Durocher\u00a0<\/strong>won both the 200 fly and 100 back. He edged out\u00a0Penn Charter’s\u00a0Reece Whitley\u00a0<\/strong>in the 200 fly, 1:46.18 to 1:46.42, while posting a time of 49.27 in the backstroke.<\/p>\n

NCAP’s\u00a0Brandon Hamblin\u00a0<\/strong>won the 50 free in 20.29, edging out Whitley and Suburban Seahawks’\u00a0Brian Brennan<\/strong>, who tied for second in 20.61. Machine’s\u00a0Casey Storch\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 breast in 1:57.64, and NCAP’s\u00a0Phillip Manoff\u00a0<\/strong>posted a dominant win in the 500 free, touching in 4:25.78.<\/p>\n

In addition to her relay exploits, Grace Sheble won her third individual event of the meet, winning the 13-14 girls’ 200 fly in 1:57.68, becoming the 11th-fastest 13-14 girl in U.S. history. But the age group star of the night was Greenwich YWCA’s\u00a0Meghan Lynch<\/strong>, who won both the 200 breast (2:13.36) and 500 free (4:51.98).<\/p>\n

Long Island’s\u00a0Joanie Cash\u00a0<\/strong>won the 13-14 girls’ 50 free in 23.61, and NCAP’s\u00a0Mackenzie McConagha<\/strong> won the 100 back in 55.79.<\/p>\n

In the 13-14 boys’ age group,\u00a0Brett Feyerick\u00a0<\/strong>won two events for the second striaght night, posting a 21.46 in the 50 free and a 50.02 in the 100 back. Meanwhile, Chelsea Piers’\u00a0Tyler Sicgiano\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 fly (1:52.28), NCAP’s\u00a0Eric Liao<\/strong> won the 200 breast (2:08.66), and NCAP’s\u00a0Landon Gentry\u00a0<\/strong>came in first in the 500 free with a time of 4:46.71.<\/p>\n

Eleanor Sun\u00a0<\/strong>of NCAP went off in the 11-12 girls 100 breast, recording a time of 1:03.89 to move to No. 8 all-time among U.S. 13-14 girls. She later won the 200 IM in 2:04.73.<\/p>\n

Also in the 11-12 girls’ age group,\u00a0Tess Howley\u00a0<\/strong>won both the 50 free (24.22) and 50 back (27.67).<\/p>\n

For the 11-12 boys,\u00a0Long Island’s\u00a0Alvin Tsai<\/strong> won both the 100 breast (1:05.01) and 200 IM (2:06.41), while NCAP’s\u00a0Kris Lawson\u00a0<\/strong>won the 50 free (23.29), and Long Island’s\u00a0Matt Beehler\u00a0<\/strong>took first in the 50 back (26.63).<\/p>\n

Nation’s Capital also took first in two relays, the boys’ 13-14 400 medley (3:41.30) and the open women’s 400 medley (3:41.30). Penn Charter won the open men’s 400 medley relay, with Whitley supplying an impressive 51.28 breaststroke split.<\/p>\n
