{"id":286270,"date":"2017-11-30T10:04:06","date_gmt":"2017-11-30T17:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=286270"},"modified":"2017-11-30T10:04:06","modified_gmt":"2017-11-30T17:04:06","slug":"louisville-wins-three-out-of-four-relays-on-night-one-of-2017-att-winter-nationals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/louisville-wins-three-out-of-four-relays-on-night-one-of-2017-att-winter-nationals\/","title":{"rendered":"Louisville Wins Three out of Four Relays on Night One of 2017 AT&#038;T Winter Nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action got underway last night in Columbus, Ohio with just relays being contested as the 2017 AT&amp;T Winter Nationals commenced.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Louisville proved they came to Columbus ready to race as they were able to win three out of the four total races on night one.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 4&#215;50 medley relay, the Cardinals put together a team of <strong>Alina Kendzior<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mariia Astashkina<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nastja Govejsek<\/strong> and <strong>Casey Fanz<\/strong> who produced a time of 1:36.86 to win themselves a national title.\u00a0Louisville also captured the silver with their B team of <strong>Ashlyn Schoof<\/strong>, <strong>Avery Braunecker<\/strong>, <strong>Grace Oglesby<\/strong> and <strong>Laney Visscher<\/strong> who turned in a 1:37.95. Louisville took their gold medal and earned a meet record in the process. Their time of 6:58.41 dips just under the old record of 6:59.11, held by California-Berkley. OSU put together a team of <strong>Kathrin Demler<\/strong>, <strong>Kristen Romano<\/strong>, <strong>Katherine Trace<\/strong> and <strong>Meg Bailey<\/strong> who produced a time of 7:07.31. The OSU Buckeyes took the silver with\u00a0a team of <strong>Andrew Loy<\/strong>, <strong>Paul Delakis<\/strong>, <strong>Brayden Seal<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Hogsed<\/strong> who turned in a 6:23.74.
