She was nominated for Golden Goggles in the Race of the Year and Perseverance categories.<\/p>\n<p>Before the awards show, Twichell discussed how much it meant to her to have such a successful year coming off the disappointments of missing the Olympic team and an all-around rough stretch of 2-3 years &#8212; not to mention a rough 10k swim just days before her 5k in Budapest.<\/p>\n<div
