That time won the women\u2019s event by 54 seconds, and would have won the men\u2019s event by more than 15 seconds. Well indeed &#8211; that swim leaves Ledecky as the fastest performer in that event by 21 seconds (the second fastest is <\/span><b>Katie Hoff <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with a 15:24.35) and shows that even after <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katie-ledecky-probably-wont-break-records-this-weekend-and-thats-ok\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">taking a month away from the pool in August<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> any record should be on notice when she dives in the pool.
