The European preliminary rounds of the\u00a0FINA Women\u2019s Water Polo World League 2018<\/a>\u00a0kick-off\u00a0tomorrow<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on\u00a0Tuesday November 21<\/span><\/span>\u00a0across various European cities.<\/p>\n

The following four teams will be taking part: Spain, Hungary, Netherlands and Russia<\/p>\n

For the first round, the Netherlands will play Hungary at home, in Utrecht (NED) and Spain will face the Russians in Dos Hermanas (ESP).<\/p>\n

The women’s European preliminaries will also be played in six rounds, following this calendar from November 2017 to May 2018:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

*game will be played on December 22, 2017<\/i><\/p>\n

After the conclusion of these six rounds, the three best teams from Europe will be qualified for the Super Final to be held from May 28\u2013 June 2 2018. They will then be joined by four other teams selected from the Intercontinental Tournament +\u00a0 the host country team.<\/p>\n

There is a total prize money of US$ 202,500 for the 2018 edition, and the winning team gets US$ 50,000 (2nd US$ 40K, 3rd US$ 30K, 4th US$ 25K, 5th US$ 20K, 6th US$ 15K, 7th\u00a0US$ 12,5K<\/a>, 8th US$ 10K).<\/p>\n

F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Natation (FINA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Natation, founded in 1908, is the governing body for aquatics worldwide. FINA’s five discipline Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Synchronised Swimming – are all included in the Olympic programme. High Diving made its first appearance in FINA events at the 2013 FINA World Championships.
