For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>East Grand Rapids ran away with the Michigan Girls Division 2 state championship, scoring 396 points to Dexter High School&#8217;s 241 points.<\/p>\n<p>East Grand Rapids started to build a lead with the very first event, the 200 medley relay.\u00a0<strong>Sophia Layton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ileah Doctor<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ashley Ward<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Marie Lehman\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a 1:44.76.<\/p>\n<p>Doctor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/indiana-gets-verbal-commitments-from-christin-rockway-ileah-doctor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who is committed to swim for the Indiana Hoosiers<\/a>, won the 50 freestyle in a Division record time of 22.19. Doctor had already lowered the record in prelims with a 22.33. She was just .15 shy of\u00a0<strong>Kara Lynn Joyce<\/strong>&#8216;s All Class record. Midland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Claire Newman\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 23.21 ahead of a pair of Seaholm seniors:\u00a0<strong>Haley Dolan\u00a0<\/strong>(23.57) and\u00a0<strong>Linnea Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(23.77). Doctor took a second division record in the 100 freestyle with her winning 49.59. Newman was runner up again, with a 50.83.<\/p>\n<p>Dexter&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Annette Schultz\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle by over three seconds with a 1:49.30. Her freshman teammate\u00a0<strong>Charlotte Schultz\u00a0<\/strong>was third (1:53.47) and Rochester Adams&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Lisa Lohner\u00a0<\/strong>(1:52.99) finished second.<\/p>\n<p>Royal Oak&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julia Boswell\u00a0<\/strong>earned 200 IM gold in 2:04.86 while Lehman was second in 2:05.98.<\/p>\n<p>FH Central senior\u00a0<strong>Colleen Kramer\u00a0<\/strong>won one meter diving with 424.25 points. Her teammate and classmate\u00a0<strong>Felicity Buchmaier\u00a0<\/strong>defended her 100 fly title with a 54.80 and her 100 back title with a 55.90. Anderson was second (55.72) in the 100 fly while Byron Center&#8217;s <strong>Michaela Briggs\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up (56.57) in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p>Three swimmers were faster than last year&#8217;s winning time from\u00a0<strong>Julia Boswell\u00a0<\/strong>of Royal Oak HS. Lohner was first to the wall in 4:59.78 to pick up gold. Boswell finished second with a 5:00.41. Dexter senior\u00a0<strong>Sarah Zofchak\u00a0<\/strong>(5:02.84) finished third.<\/p>\n<p>Doctor played a role in another Division record as Lehman,\u00a0<strong>Eve Doctor<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Laura Levine<\/strong>, and Ileah Doctor touched in 1:33.40 for 200 freestyle relay gold.\u00a0Lehman clocked a 1:04.50 to win the 100 breaststroke, just quicker than FH Central&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jessica Schellenboom\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:04.53.<\/p>\n<p>Dexter&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Zofchak<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Grace Kacmarek<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Amelia Kinnard<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Annette Schultz\u00a0<\/strong>defended the team&#8217;s 400 freestyle relay title in 3:31.09.<\/p>\n<p>Full results available <a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2017-michigan-girls-d2-hs-states-results-high-school-2017-11-17.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agon is the proud sponsor of all high school coverage (recruiting, results, state championships, etc.) on SwimmingWorld.com.
