{"id":284193,"date":"2017-11-13T11:43:35","date_gmt":"2017-11-13T18:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=284193"},"modified":"2017-11-13T11:43:35","modified_gmt":"2017-11-13T18:43:35","slug":"malaysias-pandelela-pamg-wins-platform-at-final-stop-of-fina-diving-grand-prix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/malaysias-pandelela-pamg-wins-platform-at-final-stop-of-fina-diving-grand-prix\/","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia&#8217;s Pandelela Pamg Wins Platform at Final Stop of FINA Diving Grand Prix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Olympian <strong>Pandelela Rinong Pamg<\/strong> of Malaysia grabbed gold in the women&#8217;s 10m platform (with 319.40 points) this weekend in Gold Coast (AUS), as the 2017 edition of the FINA Diving Grand Prix came to an end, after an eight-leg circuit which stretched from February to November 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Malaysian diver was the only non-Chinese athlete to clinch gold in an individual event in Gold Coast.<\/p>\n<p>China once more proved its superiority in the sport by claiming gold in the men&#8217;s 3m with <strong>Xie Siyi<\/strong> (445.15) and <strong>Yang Jian<\/strong> in the men&#8217;s 10m (466.20). <strong>Cao Yuan<\/strong>\/X<strong>ie Siyi<\/strong> (CHN) were also the best in the men&#8217;s 3m synchro event, collecting 420.84 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aleksandr Belevtsev<\/strong>\/<strong>Nikita Shleikher<\/strong> of Russia accumulated 390.84 points in the men&#8217;s 10m synchronised event which led them to the victory, in front of Great Britain&#8217;s duet <strong>Lucas Thomson<\/strong>\/<strong>James Heatly<\/strong> (341.70) and <strong>Nazirul Jaya Surya<\/strong>\/<strong>Jellson Jabillin<\/strong> (MAS, 334.62).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chen Yiwen<\/strong> of China was the best in the women&#8217;s 3m (297.75), defeating USA&#8217;s <strong>Maria Coburn<\/strong> (280.80) and teammate <strong>Huang Xiaohui<\/strong> (278.50).<\/p>\n<p>As for the women&#8217;s synchronized events, the North-American pair formed of <strong>Krysta Palmer<\/strong>\/<strong>Maria Coburn<\/strong> took the 3m gold with 261.00 points and Australia&#8217;s <strong>Melissa Wu<\/strong>\/<strong>Taneka Kovchenko<\/strong> topped the 10m equivalent with 300.24.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s <strong>Martin Wolfram<\/strong>\/<strong>Tina<\/strong> <strong>Punzel<\/strong> (276.78, 3m) and <strong>Gemma McArthur<\/strong>\/<strong>Lucas Thomson<\/strong> (GBR, 269.46, 10m) respectively took gold in the mixed events.<\/p>\n<p><b>Medalists in Gold Coast<\/b><i>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fina.org\/event\/fina-diving-grand-prix-2017-8\/results\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.fina.org\/event\/fina-diving-grand-prix-2017-8\/results&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1510680891367000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHAcKm121YJyIVjcXmqNCk4qC82gQ\">all detailed<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fina.org\/event\/fina-diving-grand-prix-2017-8\/results\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.fina.org\/event\/fina-diving-grand-prix-2017-8\/results&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1510680891367000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHAcKm121YJyIVjcXmqNCk4qC82gQ\">\u00a0results<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><\/i><i>Men<\/i><br \/>\n3m &#8211; 1.
