Ryan is from Bartlett, Illinois, where she swims for Saint Charles Swim Team. She&#8217;s a senior at Rosary High School.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote on Instagram,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Villanova University. GO WILDCATS&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While strongest\u00a0at backstroke (in terms of USA Swimming&#8217;s Power Point system), Ryan is incredible versatile and\u00a0will contribute\u00a0across the board. Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Back 25.45<\/li>\n<li>100 Back 55.22<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:57.60<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:51.29<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 50.67<\/li>\n<li>50 Free 23.55<\/li>\n<li>200 Fly 2:04.00<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 56.12<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 4:20.46<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:03.50<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 2:19.97<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wildcats are the defending Big East Champions. Ryan should be a key piece to continue that success. She has a number of event options and would find herself in the A final of everything except the distance freestyle events.<\/p>\n<p>For her day one event, Ryan could have swum the 200 IM and finished fourth or the 50 free and finished fifth last year. On day two Ryan&#8217;s best 400 IM time would have won the conference. In the 100 fly her best time would be good for seventh while her top 200 free would score sixth place points and her 100 backstroke time would have been good for third last year. On\u00a0day three, Ryan would have been the 200 backstroke runner up last year. She could have been fourth in the 100 free, sixth in the 200 breaststroke, or third in the 200 fly.
