On Saturday in Pac-12 swimming, the University of Southern California completed a perfect Arizona road trip, sweeping the Wildcats in Tucson, while the Cal women dispatched a challenge from the NC State Wolfpack.<\/p>\n

The USC women came out on top by a score of 165 to 133, while the men won comfortably, 171 to 123.<\/p>\n

Louise Hansson<\/strong> and Riley Scott <\/strong>led the way for the Trojan women with two event wins each. Hansson edged out Arizona\u2019s Hannah Cox <\/strong>in the 200 free, 1:47.41 to 1:47.63 before also winning the 100 free (50.17). Scott swept the breaststroke events, topping the 100 (1:01.40) and 200 (2:12.40).<\/p>\n

Cox did manage two wins, however, taking the 1000 (10:04.71) and 500 free (4:49.20), while teammate Katrina Konopka <\/strong>won the 50 free (23.08) and was second behind Hansson in the 100 free (50.75).<\/p>\n

For the USC men, Dylan Carter <\/strong>won both the 200 free (1:36.42) and 100 fly (47.66), while Santo Condorelli<\/strong> took first in the 50 (20.01) and 100 free (44.09) and Patrick Mulcare <\/strong>won both the 200 back (1:45.95) and 400 IM (3:54.58). Also winning two events was diver Daishell Enos<\/strong>, scoring 441.53 on one-meter and 302.78 on three-meter.<\/p>\n

The Wildcat men had just four wins all day: from Samuel Iida <\/strong>in the 100 (55.78) and 200 breast (2:00.28) and from Brooks Fail <\/strong>in the 1000 (9:16.42) and 500 free (4:29.54).<\/p>\n

NC State at Cal (women only)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Golden Bears defeated the Wolfpack 176-124, and they were led by their two Olympic gold medalists. Kathleen Baker <\/strong>won three events on the day, the 100 back (52.92), 200 back (1:55.68) and 200 IM (1:59.25), while Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong> won the 50 free (22.40) and 100 free (49.12).<\/p>\n

Also winning two events was diver Briana Thai<\/strong>, who took first in both one-meter (289.73) and three-meter (289.73). Robin Neumann <\/strong>won the 200 free for Cal (1:48.28), while Ali Harrison <\/strong>won the 100 breast (1:03.43), Katie McLaughlin <\/strong>took first in the 200 fly, and Noemie Thomas <\/strong>won the 100 fly (53.01).<\/p>\n

UCLA at Arizona State (women only)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The ASU Sun Devil ladies picked up their first win over the Bruins in six seasons, and it was a dominant 189-111 effort in Tempe.<\/p>\n

Chloe Isleta <\/strong>and Silja Kansakoski<\/strong> led the way for ASU, sweeping the backstroke and breaststroke events, respectively. Isleta won the 100 (54.64) and 200 back (1:58.70), and Kansakoski took first in the 100 (1:02.60) and 200 breast (2:15.68).<\/p>\n

Isleta and Kansakoski teamed up with Fanny Teijonsalo<\/strong> and Katherine Wagner <\/strong>to win the 200 medley relay in 1:42.50, and Wagner, Claire Fisch<\/strong>, Teijonsalo and Emma Nordin<\/strong> won the 400 free relay in 3:24.33.<\/p>\n

Other ASU wins came from Wagner in the 50 free (23.47), Caitlin Wilson <\/strong>in the 1000 free (10:05.05), Erica Lanning<\/strong> in the 500 free (4:55.40) and Marlies Ross <\/strong>in the 200 IM (2:01.73). Mara Aiacoboae<\/strong> won three-meter diving (328.20).<\/p>\n

UCLA won five events on the day, with Katie Grover <\/strong>leading the way with victories in the 100 free (50.27) and 100 fly (55.24). Kenisha Liu <\/strong>won the 200 free (1:49.14), Amy Okada <\/strong>won the 200 fly (2:00.39), and Eloise Belanger <\/strong>took first in one-meter diving (313.05).<\/p>\n

Utah at UNLV<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Utah easily topped UNLV at home, with the Ute men defeating the Rebels 171-123 and the women taking the win by an even greater margin of 188-107.<\/p>\n

Utah’s men had two double-winners at the meet, with\u00a0Paul Unger\u00a0<\/strong>sweeping the 100 back (47.37) and 100 fly (48.34) and\u00a0Nathan Makarewicz<\/strong> picking up the top spot in both one-meter (362.48) and three-meter (343.88) diving.<\/p>\n

For the women,\u00a0Dorein Butter\u00a0<\/strong>won the 50 (23.90) and 100 free (51.16), while\u00a0Genevieve Robertson<\/strong> took first in the 100 (1:04.66) and 200 breast (2:18.94).<\/p>\n
