Gator freshman Matt Elliott claimed victories in three events at the meet, posting impressive times in the 400 IM (3:50.96, B cut), 100 breast (55.64) and 200 breast (1:59.06, B cut).<\/p>\n
Fellow Gator Elizabeth Beisel took home four titles from the meet, posting NCAA B cut times in each. Her wins came in the 500 free (4:42.00), 200 IM (1:58.05), 100 back (55.04) and 1650 free (16:09.89). <\/p>\n
Teresa Crippen, Sarah Bateman and Marcin Cieslak also swam to multiple victories apiece for the triumphant Gators.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the University of Missouri hosted the Show-Me Showdown Invite along with a handful of other Missouri schools to promote college swimming in the state. The Tigers posted several first place finishes in the relays and in the diving well, however full results from the meet were not available. <\/p>\n
Colorado Mesa University played host to the Intermountain Shootout in Grand Junction, in which the University of Utah emerged victorious in both the men's and women's competitions. <\/p>\n
Hannah Caron (50 fly, 25.28), (200 IM, 2:07.08), (100 free, 52.66), (100 fly, 56.47) and Samantha Zuch (200 free, 1:53.04), (100 breast, 1:04.23), (500 free, 5:05.93), (50 breast, 30.15) racked up four wins apiece to lead the Utah women, while Nick Soedel (50 free, 20.83), (100 free, 45.48) and Karson Applin (200 IM, 1:56.52), (100 fly, 50.46) led the Utah men. Cody Deacon and Paul Leonhardt swam well for the Air Force men.<\/p>\n
In other action, Auburn took on Arkansas in an SEC showdown on Thursday night, where the Tigers posted six NCAA B cut times to snare the win over the Razorbacks. Hannah Riordan swam to wins in the 50 free (22.77, B cut) and 100 free (50.24), while Emily Bos (200 back, 1:58.49) and Lauren Norberg (200 breast, 2:14.99) each earned a win and an NCAA B cut.<\/p>\n
On the west coast, the women of Cal and Oregon State faced off in a double dual meet with the Golden Bears securing wins in each outing. Caitlin Leverenz garnered first place finishes in the 200 fly (1:59.30) and 400 IM (4:15.90) on Friday night.
