She earned a total of 31 points for the Red Foxes after she finished first in the 50- (25.11 seconds) and 100-yard freestyle (55.03 seconds).<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Senior <strong>Sara Nestrowitz<\/strong> also contributed to the strong outing for the Marist captains when she competed successfully at a shorter distance and touched first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.69). Nestrowitz also took the top spot in the 500-yard event (5:12.78) and helped a Marist relay team come from behind to take first place the 400-yard freestyle relay. She was the anchor of the foursome that touched .01 second faster than Rider\u2019s squad to help the Red Foxes win the final event of the meet in 3:43.87.<\/p>\n<p>On the diving boards freshman <strong>Esabelle Gervasio<\/strong> was second in the 1-meter event with 225.23 points.<\/p>\n<h3>Notes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Marist distance went 1-2-3 in the 1,000-yard freestyle as freshman <strong>Heather Hartmann<\/strong> won the event in 10:38.70 followed by junior <strong>Shannon Gordon<\/strong> (10:50.88) and senior <strong>Melanie Newton<\/strong> (10:58.05).<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">The Red Foxes\u2019 women also finished 1 through 3 in the 500-yard freestyle with Hartmann and Gordon coming in at second and third and respectively behind Nestrowitz.<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Freshman <strong>Georgeanne Zimmerman<\/strong> clocked in at the fastest time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.62).<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Marist\u2019s 400-yard freestyle squad that beat out Rider by .01 second consisted of freshman <strong>Samantha Dickinson<\/strong>, freshman <strong>Caroline Farrell<\/strong> and senior <strong>Deirdre Connor <\/strong>in addition to the anchor in Nestrowitz.<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Rider senior <strong>Tara Maniace<\/strong> was on the Broncs\u2019 first place 200-yard medley relay squad and won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.03.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Up Next<\/h3>\n<p class=\"m_5888499294943201192MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Marist will battle Fairfield in its only dual meet for the month of November. Rider is also 2-1 overall after picking up the victory in its first MAAC meet of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Aiken began the afternoon slightly ahead of Rider freshman <strong>Dillon Walles<\/strong> with a career best final score of 316.58 to win the 3-meter dive. Aiken went on to place first ahead of senior teammate <strong>Peter Gallino<\/strong> on the 1-meter board. It marked the first time in his career that Aiken won both diving events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">In the swimming pool, Marist\u2019s long distance freestyle strength was on full display. Sophomore <strong>Michael O\u2019Donovan<\/strong> kicked off a 1-2-3 Marist finish in the 500-yard freestyle after he clocked in at 4:44.83. Junior <strong>Miguel Madeira<\/strong> (4:45.78) and sophomore <strong>Evan Nilsson<\/strong> (4:49.88) followed suit. In the 1,000-yard event freshman<strong> John Hurley<\/strong> led the pack of Red Foxes, touching in a personal best 9:42.81. O\u2019Donovan and Nilsson came in second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Notes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Hurley posted a season best time of 2:09.84 to win the 200-yard breaststroke and came in third in the 200-yard individual medley.<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">It came down to the final dive at one meter for Aiken and Gallino, who ended up within 2.21 points of each other. Aiken racked up 273.53 points while Gallino stood at 271.32 points.<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Freshman <strong>Jackson Klarsfeld<\/strong> won the 200-yard individual medley in 1:55.80, edging out Rider junior <strong>Luke Musselman<\/strong> by .29 seconds.<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Competing in consecutive events, Rider senior <strong>Zack Molloy<\/strong> won the 50- (21.15 seconds) and 100-yard freestyle (45.66 seconds).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Up Next<\/h3>\n<p class=\"m_-5513335345242873941MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Marist will battle Fairfield in its only dual meet for the month of November.
