NEW COMMIT:<\/strong>\u00a0Hungary’s Adel Juhasz\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Virginia Tech beginning in the fall of 2018. Juhasz has been swimming since 2005, still under her first coach. In 2016 Juhasz achieved the Olympic A standard in the 800 freestyle.<\/p>\n

This summer Juhasz finished 10th in the European Junior Open Water Championships 10K. She was fourth in the 5K in the summer of 2016. In 2014 Juhasz won the 200 fly at the European Junior Championships. The following summer she was fifth in the 1500 at World Juniors.<\/p>\n

Last year Juhasz was awarded the Good Student and Athlete of the Year award, which she explained, “is an award in Hugary, which is given for those athletes who have great sport results during the year and his\/her grade point average is above 4.7.”<\/p>\n
