{"id":281022,"date":"2017-10-18T15:28:39","date_gmt":"2017-10-18T22:28:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=281022"},"modified":"2017-10-18T15:28:39","modified_gmt":"2017-10-18T22:28:39","slug":"video-cody-miller-vlog-a-day-in-the-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/video-cody-miller-vlog-a-day-in-the-life\/","title":{"rendered":"VIDEO: Cody Miller&#8217;s Vlog &#8220;A Day in the Life&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Cody Miller\u00a0<\/strong>has launched a YouTube channel, and in his first video, he took viewers through &#8220;a day in the life.&#8221; The video shows Miller&#8217;s two swim practices, a weight session and other aspects of his daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Miller told\u00a0<em>Swimming World<\/em> that he&#8217;s very interested in the art of film-making, and this vlog is his first of many attempts at putting together videos.\u00a0&#8220;I plan to expand the channel in the future. I&#8217;m taking it very seriously,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Watch the full video Miller put together below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CRAZY DAY OF AN OLYMPIC SWIMMER\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qHmA5MCkPXQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Included in the video, Miller wakes up at 5 a.m., drives to practice at Indiana University and is the first swimmer on pool deck. He goes straight from practice to a weight training session.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the day, he heads to physical therapy, where he receives soft-tissue massage and cupping to help with recovery. He explained that his physical therapist &#8220;hurts me to help me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Miller ends the day with a breaststroke practice, and world record-holding training partner\u00a0<strong>Lilly King\u00a0<\/strong>makes an appearance during the set. Miller also explained that he was drug-tested and shows the scar from where blood was drawn, but he could not show video of the test.<\/p>\n<p>Miller&#8217;s two dogs and wife\u00a0<strong>Ali\u00a0<\/strong>also make appearances in the video.
