PHOENIX, Arizona, September 21. THE British swimming Olympic Trials will also be the official test event for the London Olympic pool next March. <\/p>\n
While the best that Great Britain has to offer will be fighting for a chance to swim at a home Olympics, foreign swimmers will be able to race in the same meet, though they will have separate finals each night after all of the British finals have concluded. The meet will be held March 3-10, making Great Britain the first major swimming country to select its Olympic swimming roster.<\/p>\n
As you can see from the photos, the London Aquatic Centre is pretty much complete, save for the landscaping on the outside and more work to be done on the spectator seating on the inside. The plan is to have seating for 17,500 fans, with the amount to go down to just 2,500 after the Games.<\/p>\n
Rebecca Soni got to drive by the Olympic facilities last week during her visit, and Tweeted that they were “magnificent.”<\/p>\n
