The Pac-12 Conference has a light week of competition this week with two dual meets.<\/p>\n

The first is Stanford at Utah on Friday. The meet is men and women. The Utes are coming off a loss to No. 1 Cal in the men\u2019s competition and now face No. 3 Stanford. For the women, Stanford, the defending national champion, is still ranked No. 1.<\/p>\n

Utah had some strong performances against Cal. Paul Ungur<\/strong> won the 100 back in 47.83. Brandon Shreeve<\/strong> won the 500 free in 4:34.88.<\/p>\n

Diver Nathan Makarewicz<\/strong> was able to take first in two separate events, finishing with a final score of 336.83 in the 1-meter dive, and a score of 329.03 in the 3-meter dive.<\/p>\n

The Utah women are coming off a loss to No. 2 Cal.<\/p>\n

In her first collegiate meet, Sara McClendon<\/strong> won the 1000 free touching in at 10:13.16, with classmate Mandy Gebhart<\/strong> following in second with a time of 10:23.22. McClendon also captured the 500 free with a time of 5:00.36, tallying wins in two different events.<\/p>\n

Another freshman, Emma Broome<\/strong> was able to get a victory for the Utes in the 100 back, finishing with a time of 56.36.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, UCLA is coming off a fourth-place finish at the SMU Classic. The Bruins face UC-Santa Barbara on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Seniors Katie Grover<\/strong> and Ciara Monahan<\/strong> posted third-place results in the 100 butterfly and 3-meter dive, respectively, for UCLA this weekend.<\/p>\n
