Fishel swims for United Swim Association.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World\u00a0<\/em>about his decision,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;John Carroll is a beautiful campus with a charismatic, inclusive swim team. A Boler business degree will land me a successful career, and I am ecstatic to except my role as a championship caliber swimmer on the best team in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Go Blue Streaks!!!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Free 21.84<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 48.69<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:45.54<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Last year John Carroll won the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship for the first time in 12 years. As the team looks to build on that momentum, Fishel should be a point scoring contributor. His best 100 free time would have been 11th last year. The team had two finalists last year. Freshman\u00a0<strong>Matthew Ramsey\u00a0<\/strong>(45.68) won the event and sophomore\u00a0<strong>Tom Pacak\u00a0<\/strong>(47.57) was sixth. Fishel would have been ninth in the 50 free in 2017. Ramsey won that event while sophomores\u00a0<strong>Jack Garros\u00a0<\/strong>(21.15- third),\u00a0<strong>Ryan Singler\u00a0<\/strong>(21.87- ninth), and\u00a0<strong>Peter Neal\u00a0<\/strong>(22.20-13th) also scored. That group of men will all still be on campus next fall, forming an excellent training group for Fishel.<\/p>\n<p>He should also be fighting for relay spots as well.
