NEW COMMITS:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Southern California has received verbal commitments from two breaststrokers for the Class of 2022:\u00a0Lara Bate\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Isabelle Odgers<\/strong>. They’ll spend a year training with the Trojan’s current breaststroke leader\u00a0Kristen Vose<\/strong>.\u00a0Maggie Aroesty\u00a0<\/strong>is a freshman this year and will likely set the pace for the breaststroke group during Bate’s and Odgers’ time in Southern California.\u00a0Erica Sullivan<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is also verbally committed to the Class of 2022.<\/p>\n

Lara Bate<\/h2>\n

“I am so excited to announce my commitment to the University of Southern California! I have always dreamed about becoming a trojan and I can’t wait to become a part of such an incredible program! When I visited I immediately felt at home and I know that at at USC I will be challenged both in and out of the pool. I feel so lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of people! Fight on!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bate lives in Baltimore where she swims for North Baltimore Aquatic Club. Her best times include:<\/p>\n

    Isabelle Odgers<\/h2>\n

    “I feel so blessed to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Southern California! I am so thankful for my family, friends, and coaches for all of their help and support. I couldn’t be more excited to become a Trojan! Fight on!!!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    She’s a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and a NISCA All-American. She’ll make the move to Los Angeles from Alison Viejo, California where she is a senior at Santa Margarita Catholic High School and trains with Irvine Novaquatics. At last spring’s CIF Southern Section Division 1 Championships Odgers was fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n
