NEW COMMITS:\u00a0<\/strong>Californian\u00a0Cooper de Ryk\u00a0<\/strong>and Florida’s own\u00a0Kyle DiMatteo\u00a0<\/strong>have announced their verbal commitments to swim at Florida State University.<\/p>\n

Cooper de Ryk<\/h2>\n

He’ll make the move east from Truckee, California where he swims for Truckee Tahoe Swim Team. He’s a senior just over the border in Nevada at Truckee High School.<\/p>\n

Swimming at last spring’s Nevada 3A High School state championship<\/a>, de Ryk was a dominant force, winning the 50 free (20.16) and the 100 fly (49.87). He’s the high school state record holder in that 50 free. He was also a 50 freestyle finalist at 2016 Winter Juniors. A four time member of the Sierra Nevada Zones Team, de Ryk is primarily a sprinter. His top times are:<\/p>\n
