She joins fellow National Junior Teamer\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/us-junior-national-teamer-kensey-mcmahon-chooses-alabama\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kensey McMahon<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Worlds team member\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/worlds-team-member-cathryn-salladin-verbally-commits-to-alabama\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cathryn Salladin<\/a>, <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/marylands-morgan-liberto-sends-verbal-commit-to-alabama-crimson-tide\/\" target=\"_blank\">Morgan Liberto<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in what is shaping up to be a superstar class.<\/p>\n<p>White is from Herriman, Utah where she swims for Wasatch Front Fish Market. She&#8217;s a senior at Cottonwood High School. She is a multiple time high school state championship, winning the Utah 5A titles in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke last year.<\/p>\n<p>White excels in backstroke. Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 Back 1:53.54<\/li>\n<li>100 Back 53.36<\/li>\n<li>50 Back 25.71<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 55.27<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In an NCAA stocked full of backstroke talent, White&#8217;s best time already puts her in the 200 back A final at last year&#8217;s SEC Championships. Alabama&#8217;s highest finishers in the event were 22nd and 23rd:\u00a0<strong>Katie Coughlin\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.00) and\u00a0<strong>Kacey Oberlander\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.08). The duo will be a senior and a junior, respectively, in White&#8217;s first year. In the 100 back White would have added to her point total with a B final swim. Coughlin was in that B final with her 53.57.
