Both will head to\u00a0North Carolina\u00a0from the Pacific Northwest. Werner joins a men&#8217;s class that now includes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/californian-cole-reznick-verbally-commits-to-duke-blue-devils\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Cole Reznick<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/breaststrokers-henry-wu-and-colson-zucker-verbally-commit-to-duke\/\" target=\"_blank\">Colson Zucker<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/breaststrokers-henry-wu-and-colson-zucker-verbally-commit-to-duke\/\" target=\"_blank\">Henry Wu<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0O&#8217;Shea&#8217;s commitment brings the women&#8217;s class to five including\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/arizona-high-school-champion-shae-nicolaisen-gives-verbal-commitment-to-duke\/\" target=\"_blank\">Shae Nicolaisen<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/high-school-junior-melissa-pish-verbally-commits-to-duke\/\" target=\"_blank\">Melissa Pish<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/rachel-peroni-verbally-commits-to-dukes-class-of-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rachel Peroni<\/a>, <\/strong>and<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/easop-lee-of-south-korea-and-north-baltimore-verbally-commits-to-duke\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Easop Lee<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Everett Werner<\/h2>\n<p>Werner lives in Olympia, Washington where he swims for Evergreen Swim Club. He&#8217;s a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.<\/p>\n<p>Werner is a butterflier and IMer. His top SCY times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 Fly 1:48.94<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 50.43<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 3:57.13<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 1:52.08<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:51.54<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He wrote,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Between the incredible academics, athletics, location, and team Duke is the perfect school for me. Go Blue Devils!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Duke&#8217;s only underclass butterflier last year was\u00a0<strong>Yusuke Legard<\/strong>. He&#8217;ll be a senior next year. The IM group will still include\u00a0<strong>Roger Kriegl<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Judson Howard<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Maximilian St. George<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Brynne O&#8217;Shea<\/h2>\n<p>O&#8217;Shea\u00a0will move to Durham from Portland, Oregon. She is a senior at Lakeridge High School and swims for Multnomah Athletic Club.<\/p>\n<p>A USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, O&#8217;Shea is primarily a backstroker.
