NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Massachusetts Amherst has picked up a verbal commitment from\u00a0Brie Harnden\u00a0<\/strong>of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. A senior at Fitchburg High School, Harnden doesn’t do any high school swimming. She is a member of the school’s National Honor Society. She trains year-round with Greenwood Swimming where she is coached by\u00a0Dom Lemieux<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World<\/em> about her decision,<\/p>\n

“UMass is the perfect fit for me because of the great chemical engineering program and the opportunity to swim as a member of an excellent team. The girls and coaches were so friendly and I am so excited to join them next fall! Go UMASS!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
