The aquatic center will provide a state-of-the-art home for the district&#8217;s swimming programs to host meets.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, the district has to travel a little ways down the road to Olathe, Kansas to rent time at its school district&#8217;s aquatic facility to host meets. The new facility in Lenexa would help provide more space for more spectators to attend meets.<\/p>\n<p>The new pool will have space to hold up to 500 competitors and 1,000 spectators. It will include a 50-meter pool with a 16-foot-depth diving well. Adjacent to the competition pool is a 25-yard pool which will be used for training and recreation activities.
