A senior at Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Washington, Nicholls trains year-round with the Coeur D\u2019Alene Area Swim Team.<\/p>\n<p>Primarily a breaststroker, Nicholls has posted SCY best times of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 breast \u2013 1:01.83<\/li>\n<li>200 breast \u2013 2:13.27<\/li>\n<li>200 IM \u2013 2:04.76<\/li>\n<li>400 IM \u2013 4:26.66<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nicholls has demonstrated steady progression in the breaststrokes from the 2015-2016 season to the 2016-2017 season, dropping over a half second in the 100 and four seconds in the 200.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame! I want to thank everyone, especially my club coaches David Dolphay and Bob Wood, for helping me through this process. I can&#8217;t wait to spend the next 4 years at Notre Dame! GO IRISH&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>At the 2017 ACC Championships, Nicholls\u2019 best time in the 200 breast would have put her in the B final right behind teammate <strong>Meaghan O\u2019Donnell<\/strong> (who will be a senior when Nicholls arrives on campus), and her best time in the 100 breast would have earned her a second swim in the C final. Nicholls should be a welcome addition to the Fighting Irish breaststroke corps.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a
