NEW COMMITS:<\/strong> The Florida State University men have received two verbal commitments for the Class of 2022, reeling in in-state swimmer Matthew Strickland<\/strong> and Poland\u2019s Karol Ostrowski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Matthew Strickland<\/h2>\n
Strickland is a freestyler, but also strong across the 200s. He swims for Swim Florida. He is a senior at Bishop Verot High School in Fort Meyers. His top times include:<\/p>\n

200 fly \u2013 1:52.76<\/li>\n
200 back \u2013 1:50.27<\/li>\n
200 free \u2013 1:43.90<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
At last fall\u2019s Florida 1A High School state championships Strickland touched sixth in the 500 free.<\/p>\n
At last year’s ACC Championship junior\u00a0Calvin Bryant\u00a0<\/strong>was the only Seminole in the 500 freestyle. He’ll be graduated by Strickland’s arrival. Strickland is outside ACC scoring at the moment, but should be the perfect piece to fill a dual meet hole.<\/p>\n
