The H20kies campaign features meets against <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theacc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.theacc.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1505955269991000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGxSiRsx5Zce61Ph2rVUnjYqM_u5A\">ACC<\/a> foes Duke, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seminoles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.seminoles.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1505955269991000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFZwQPz7q73n5W93kQy0RTQm5rPNA\">Florida State<\/a>, UNC and Virginia, out-of-conference competition versus Ohio State and Michigan as well as the first Technotational to be held in preparation for ACC and NCAA Championships.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are looking forward to the upcoming season,\u201d said head coach <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hokiesports.com\/staff\/skinner_ned.html\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.hokiesports.com\/staff\/skinner_ned.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1505955269991000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEbN2YbU8onbhUZTIH6CLLg3WU03Q\">Ned Skinner<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cWe have a strong schedule to include starting a three-year rotation with Duke and Florida State. Further, the fall invite will include traditional powers Florida, and Indiana and we will get a good look at the women&#8217;s NCAA site when we square off at Ohio State, with Michigan and Rutgers. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.virginiasports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.virginiasports.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1505955269991000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGMU9HVhIeIqwok8crnNJIWUZjjEg\">University of Virginia<\/a> is always a big meet for the Hokies and we will have plenty of other challenges to prepare us for the ACC and NCAA Championships.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In celebration of the season kick-off, Virginia Tech will host an Intra- Quad meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591512\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Oct. 7<\/span><\/span> beginning at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591513\"><span class=\"aQJ\">8 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The H20kies will start their competition schedule the weekend of <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591514\"><span class=\"aQJ\">October 13-14<\/span><\/span> at Duke with Florida State before returning home for the Virginia Tech Sprint Challenge the following weekend with Queens, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmi.edu\/athletics\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.vmi.edu\/athletics\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1505955269991000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFu-ceVmP_dC6WHwAraW9fEkZ1OnQ\">VMI<\/a> and Liberty.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia Tech will be on the road <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591515\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Nov. 4<\/span><\/span> in Chapel Hill to face the Tar Heels after a year hiatus. Tech will wrap up the fall slate at the Purdue University Invitational <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591516\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Nov. 16-18<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Hokies will head to Ft. Lauderdale for their annual training trip towards the end of December where they will also compete against Buffalo on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591517\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Jan. 4<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Tech will host their Seniors\u2019 and Parents\u2019 weekend <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591518\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Jan. 12-13<\/span><\/span> during their first dual meet of the new year against Virginia. Last year, both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s team fell to the Cavaliers in Charlottesville. The loss against UVA was the first dual meet defeat of the season for the men\u2019s team, despite strong performances from the Hokies.<\/p>\n<p>Tech will get back to the spring schedule <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591519\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Jan. 19-20<\/span><\/span> when the Hokies travel to Ohio. On the 19th the Hokies will face Cincinnati with Xavier then travel to compete at Ohio State the following day with Rutgers and Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia Tech will host the first Technotational the weekend of <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591520\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Feb. 2-4<\/span><\/span>. The atmosphere of this invitational will be unique to the H20kies dynamic &#8211; fun, energetic and fast.<\/p>\n<p>The ACC Championships will return to Greensboro, N.C. with the women lined up to compete the <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591521\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Feb. 14-17<\/span><\/span> and the men to swim <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591522\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Feb. 21-24<\/span><\/span> at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.<\/p>\n<p>The Tech divers will have their chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships during the NCAA Zone A competition <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591523\"><span class=\"aQJ\">March 5-7<\/span><\/span> at Rutgers. Following this contest, the Hokies will look to round out their season at the NCAA Championships with the women\u2019s qualifiers to compete <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591524\"><span class=\"aQJ\">March 14-17<\/span><\/span> at Ohio State\u2019s McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, while the men conclude their season <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1813591525\"><span class=\"aQJ\">March 21-24<\/span><\/span> at Minnesota\u2019s Jean K.
