Kingwood High School has officially closed following the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey, according to a report from a local news outlet<\/a>, leaving the home of one of the premier high school teams in Texas completely devastated.<\/p>\n

The KHS Mustangs are one of the most decorated high school teams in Texas, with the boys team having six state titles to their name and the girls team owning four. The most recent Texas State Title for KHS came in 2011, when the women captured the state crown. The Kingwood season will be delayed and school will be held at neighboring Summer Creek High School.<\/p>\n

Laura Ledlow Fine<\/strong>, a former coach and alumni of KHS, has started a GoFundMe page<\/a> to raise money to start the process of repairing the badly damaged pool. According to her GoFundMe page, the offices and locker rooms around the pool were flooded with more than five feet of water and the team lost all electronic equipment, pictures, and more than 250 All-American Certificates.<\/p>\n
