Teammate <strong>Miranda Tucker<\/strong> also qualified for the semifinals in the eighth position with a 31.94. Australia&#8217;s <strong>Leiston Pickett<\/strong> finished second overall in 31.31 and was followed by Liver in 31.44.<\/p>\n<p>Poland&#8217;s <strong>Dominika Sztandera<\/strong> took the fourth spot in 31.49 and was followed by a pair of Swedish women in <strong>Jessica Eriksson<\/strong> (31.65) and <strong>Vilma Ekstroem<\/strong> (31.75). Both men have teammates who qualified for the semifinals as well.<\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s <strong>Dillon Virva<\/strong> was sixth in 22.36 while Russia&#8217;s <strong>Sergei Fesikov<\/strong> qualified tenth in 22.40, a position he tied Japan&#8217;s <strong>Katsumi Nakamura<\/strong> for.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil&#8217;s Italo <strong>Manzine Amaral Duarte Garof<\/strong> was fourth in 22.27, while Finland&#8217;s <strong>Ari Liukkonen<\/strong> (22.28), Poland&#8217;s <strong>Konrad Czerniak<\/strong> (22.37) and Ukraine&#8217;s Andrii Govorov (22.38) rounded out the top eight. Switerland&#8217;s <strong>Martina van Berkel<\/strong> was her closest competitor in 2:11.62. Eastin was the only swimmer able to maintain a 33 split on the third fifty, and only crept to 34.01 on the final lap.<\/p>\n<p>Turkey&#8217;s <strong>Nida Ustundag<\/strong> was third in 2:11.86 out of the same heat as Berkel. Laura Taylor won the third heat in 2:13.40 for the fourth seed overall, tying with <strong>Katie McLaughlin<\/strong> of the USA. Americans <strong>Katrina Konopka<\/strong> and <strong>Caroline Baldwin<\/strong> took the next two spots in 25.17 and 25.36, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil also placed a pair of women into the semifinals, as <strong>Alessandra Harrison Marchioro<\/strong> (25.38) took fourth and <strong>Graciele Herrmann<\/strong> (25.67) was eleventh. Japan&#8217;s <strong>Kaho Okano<\/strong> (25.41) and <strong>Chihiro Igarashi<\/strong> (25.64) were fifth and ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Italy&#8217;s <strong>Lucrezia Raco<\/strong> (25.42), Great Britain&#8217;s <strong>Anna Hopkin<\/strong> (25.52) and South Africa&#8217;s <strong>Emma Chelius<\/strong> (25.61) placed sixth through eighth. Italy&#8217;s <strong>Fabio Lombini<\/strong>, <strong>Alex Di Giorgio<\/strong>, <strong>Alessio Proietti Colonna<\/strong> and <strong>Filippo Megli<\/strong> did their job, earning the second seed in 7:19.09.<\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s <strong>Mitch D&#8217;Arrigo<\/strong> posted the fastest split in the field at 1:48.17, anchoring the American men to the third seed in 7:19.25.
