Walton is a senior at Brookland-Cayce High School and trains with Palmetto Aquatics.<\/p>\n<p>Walton wrote in his announcement made on Twitter,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Proud to announce my commitment to spend the next four years of my swimming career at the University of South Carolina. Go cocks&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He&#8217;s primarily a sprinter. Walton&#8217;s\u00a0top times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Free 21.22<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 46.40<\/li>\n<li>50 Back 24.37<\/li>\n<li>100 Back 50.33<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 50.95<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now sophomore\u00a0<strong>Will Countie\u00a0<\/strong>was the Gamecocks&#8217; only 2017 SEC 100 backstroke scorer who will still be on the roster by Walton&#8217;s arrival.
