25-29 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Spain\u2019s <\/span>Oscar Pereiro Carril <\/b>set a new championship record of 26.11 in the 50 backstroke while <\/span>Estefania Milanez<\/b> of Brazil set a new championship record in the women\u2019s event with a 30.20. <\/span><\/p>\n

Italy\u2019s <\/span>Matteo Montanari<\/b> won the 400 free in a new championship record of 4:05.09. <\/span><\/p>\n

Marek Botik<\/b> of Slovakia set a world record in the men\u2019s 50 breast with a 27.65. <\/span><\/p>\n

30-34 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Brazil\u2019s <\/span>Leonardo Sumida<\/b> set a new championship record in the 50 backstroke with a 26.54, while Ukraine\u2019s <\/span>Iryna Bolshakova<\/b> set a championship record of 30.57 in the women\u2019s event. <\/span><\/p>\n

Great Britain\u2019s <\/span>Sophie Casson <\/b>won the women\u2019s 400 free in a championship record of 4:22.91. <\/span><\/p>\n

35-39 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Ryan Pini <\/b>of Papua New Guinea added another record to his name, winning the 50 backstroke in a new championship and world record of 26.43. <\/span><\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s <\/span>Sergei Geibel<\/b> set a new championship record in the men\u2019s 50 breast with a 28.85, while Germany\u2019s <\/span>Nicole Heidemann <\/b>set a new world record in the same event with her 32.67. <\/span><\/p>\n

40 – 44 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Finland\u2019s <\/span>Raakel Luoto <\/b>set a new world and championship record in the 50 backstroke with a 30.47, just by the old record by just one one-hundredth. <\/span><\/p>\n

45-49 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Turley\u2019s <\/span>Serkan Atasay<\/b> broke the world and championship record in the 50 backstroke with a 27.67, and would come back to do the same in the 50 breaststroke with a 29.51. <\/span><\/p>\n

Australia\u2019s <\/span>Linley Frame <\/b>set a new world record in the 50 breaststroke with a 33.56. <\/span><\/p>\n

50-54 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Great Britain\u2019s <\/span>Mike Hodgson <\/b>set a new world and championship record in the 50 breaststroke with a 30.26. <\/span><\/p>\n

55-59 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Denmark\u2019s <\/span>Pia Thulstrup<\/b> added another record to her name with a new world and championship mark in the 50 breaststroke (36.59). <\/span><\/p>\n

60 – 64 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Russia\u2019s <\/span>Andre Steynberg <\/b>set a new championship record in the 50 backstroke with a 31.18, just half a second off the world record. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dan Stevenson <\/b>of the United States set a new world record in the 400 free with a 4:38.37. <\/span><\/p>\n

65-69 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Laura Val <\/b>of the United States took down the world record in the 50 backstroke by exactly one second, setting the new mark with a 34.46. <\/span><\/p>\n

France\u2019s <\/span>Patrick Moreau<\/b> set a new championship record in the men\u2019s 400 free with a 5:05.48, while the United States\u2019 <\/span>Jacki Hirsty <\/b>set a new championship record in the women\u2019s event in 5:39.75. <\/span><\/p>\n

Australia\u2019s <\/span>Stuart Ellicott <\/b>set a new championship record in the 50 breaststroke with a 33.69. <\/span><\/p>\n

75-79 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Hungary\u2019s <\/span>Miklos Kovats <\/b>broke the championship record in the 50 backstroke with a 39.05. <\/span><\/p>\n

Brazil\u2019s <\/span>Antonio Orselli <\/b>set a new world and championship record in the 50 breaststroke with a 39.22. <\/span><\/p>\n

80-84 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Germany\u2019s <\/span>Werner Schnabel<\/b> set a new championship record in the men\u2019s 400 free with a 6:21.00. <\/span><\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s <\/span>Mikhail Farafonov <\/b>won the 50 breast in a new championship record of 42.12. <\/span><\/p>\n

85-89 Age Group<\/b><\/h3>\n

Australia\u2019s <\/span>Dorothy Dickey<\/b> set a new championship record in the 400 freestyle with a 8:21.99. <\/span><\/p>\n

Belgium\u2019s <\/span>Agnes van Obberghen <\/b>set a new championship record in the women\u2019s 50 breast with a 52.86, just a second off the world record. <\/span><\/p>\n
