The fifth and final day of competition at the 2017 Speedo Junior Nationals has come to a close and featured fast swims all around.<\/p>\n

The Foster brothers continued to post quick times, finishing 1-2 in the men’s 200 IM, while\u00a0Johannes Calloni<\/strong> delivered a meet record in the men’s 1500 free for gold.<\/p>\n

Kate Douglass<\/strong>,\u00a0Erica Sullivan, Anya Goeders<\/strong>, and\u00a0Sid Farber<\/strong> all collected individual wins as well.<\/p>\n

    Women’s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

    Kate Douglass<\/strong> of Chelsea Piers grabbed a narrow victory of Enfinity’s\u00a0Olivia Carter<\/strong> in finals of the women’s 200 IM. Douglass delivered a final time of 2:15.09 to grab gold and move to 25th all-time for the 15-16 age group.<\/p>\n

    Carter finished second overall with a time of 2:15.12, followed by Long Island’s\u00a0Kristen Romano<\/strong> and her time of 2:15.15.<\/p>\n

    Lindsay Looney<\/strong> of Metroplex took fourth overall with a time of 2:15.74, while Austin Swim Club’s\u00a0Diana Dunn<\/strong> was fifth with a 2:16.93.<\/p>\n

    South Florida’s\u00a0Kathleen Golding<\/strong> (2:17.19), Triton’s\u00a0Claire Donan<\/strong> (2:17.55), and Mason Manta Rays’\u00a0Hannah Foster<\/strong> (2:18.55) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n

    Men’s 200 IM<\/h3>\n
    The brothers Foster continued to dominate the Speedo Junior Nationals with a top showing in the men’s 200 IM. The two brothers,\u00a0Carson<\/strong> and\u00a0Jake<\/strong>, entered as the top two seeds and concluded the meet in the same fashion. The two represent Mason Manta Rays and posted times of 2:01.97 and 2:02.88 respectively. Their times rank as the sixth and ninth fastest all-time for the 15-16 age group.<\/p>\n
    Shaine Casas<\/strong> of Nitro Swimming turned in a third place finish of 2:03.06, followed closely by\u00a0Braden Vines<\/strong> (2:03.76) of the City of Midland.<\/p>\n
    Magnolia Aquatic’s\u00a0Alberto Gomez<\/strong> grabbed fifth with a 2:04.43, while Lexington Dolphins’\u00a0Zach Hils<\/strong> was sixth with a 2:05.09.<\/p>\n
    Alexei Sancov<\/strong> of Terrapins and\u00a0Tal Davis<\/strong> of Team Greenville posted times of 2:05.10 and 2:05.83 for seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n

    Erica Sullivan<\/strong> of the Sandpipers of Nevada cruised well ahead of the competition in the final heat of the women’s 1500 free. Sullivan quickly jumped to the front of the pack and never looked back, finishing first my almost ten full seconds with a time of 16:21.74.<\/p>\n
    Taylor Ault<\/strong> of La Mirada Armada grabbed second overall with a time of 16:31.55, followed by Colorado Springs’\u00a0Kate Sanderson<\/strong> and her time of 16:33.48.<\/p>\n
    The Fish’s\u00a0Madelyn Donohoe<\/strong> took fourth overall with a time of 16:37.58, while fifth went to Sullivan’s teammate\u00a0Reese Lamph<\/strong> (16:40.93).<\/p>\n
    Egg Harbor’s\u00a0Maggie Wallace<\/strong> (16:46.30), Bolles School’s\u00a0Kensey McMahon<\/strong> (16:46.61), and Gulliver’s\u00a0Marcella Ruppert-Gomez<\/strong> (16:47.38) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n

    There was no stopping\u00a0Anya Goeders<\/strong> of Mako Swim Team in finals of the women’s 50 free. The 16-year-old jumped to an early lead and propelled ahead of the competition, winning by half a body length with a 25.26.<\/p>\n
    Grace Ariola<\/strong> of Waves Bloomington turned in a second place finish of 25.38, while Chelsea Piers’\u00a0Kate Douglass<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a 25.38.<\/p>\n
    Indiana Swim Team’s\u00a0Grace Haskett\u00a0<\/strong>and Magnolia’s\u00a0Lucie Nordmann<\/strong> tied for fourth overall with matching times of 25.69.<\/p>\n
    Lauren Pitzer<\/strong> of Lakeside delivered a sixth place finish of 25.86, followed by Wichita’s\u00a0Megan Keil’s<\/strong> 25.96.<\/p>\n
    Club Seminole’s\u00a0Nika Blank<\/strong> completed the top eight with a time of 25.98.<\/p>\n

    The men’s splash and dash was anyone’s race heading into the final 15-meters, but\u00a0Sid Farber<\/strong> of Portland Aquatics turned up the heat. Farber stopped the clock at a final time of 22.89, out-touching Bolles’\u00a0Will Davis<\/strong> by .10 seconds. Davis claimed second overall with a 22.99.<\/p>\n
    Nitro Swimming’s\u00a0Shaine Casas<\/strong> collected his second bronze of the day with a 23.05 showing.<\/p>\n
    Blaise Vera<\/strong> of Mississippi Makos took fourth overall with a time of 23.31, followed closely by Mason Manta Rays’\u00a0Adam Chaney’s<\/strong> 22.38.<\/p>\n
    SwimMAC’s\u00a0Will Chan<\/strong> (23.42), Nation’s Capital’s\u00a0Brandon Hamblin<\/strong> (23.60), and SwimUnited’s\u00a0David Madej<\/strong> (23.63) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n

    Lakeside’s\u00a0Alexander Zettle<\/strong> posted a second place finish of 8:03.30, while Pleasanton’s\u00a0Lleyton Plattel<\/strong> was third with a time of 8:11.39.<\/p>\n
    Brennan Gravley<\/strong> of the Sandpipers of Nevada finished fourth with a time of 8:11.72, followed by North Carolina’s\u00a0Thomas Bretzmann’s<\/strong> 8:13.36.<\/p>\n
