The two teamed up with <strong>Gordon Wheeler<\/strong> and <strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong> to win the 400 free relay to close out the second night of the 2017 Speedo Junior Nationals in East Meadow, New York.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucie Nordmann<\/strong> started the night off with a win in the 200 back. She tried to double up in the 100 free but she was beat by UCLA sophomore-to-be <strong>Kenisha Liu<\/strong>. Nordmann won the race ahead of <strong>Sinclair Larson<\/strong> of SwimMAC Carolina who placed second at 2:12.92. Fastjets&#8217; <strong>Isabelle Stadden<\/strong> (2:13.79) came out of nowhere to finish third at 2:13.79.<\/p>\n<p>Missoula&#8217;s <strong>Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> (2:13.86), Fort Collins&#8217; <strong>Kylee Alons<\/strong> (2:14.43), North Baltimore&#8217;s <strong>Lauren Poole<\/strong> (2:15.21), Beach Cities&#8217; <strong>Alexandra Crisera<\/strong> (2:16.02) and Tide&#8217;s <strong>Callie Dickinson<\/strong> (2:20.21) also competed in the A-final.<\/p>\n<p>Nordmann is one of the few swimmers in the class of 2018 that has not committed to a school yet. Foster won the 200 fly last night. He will represent the United States at the World Junior Championships at the end of the month in the 200 back. He swam a 1:59.40 to claim gold tonight ahead of Billings&#8217; <strong>Ethan Harder<\/strong> (2:00.12) and Metro Atlanta&#8217;s <strong>Chris Thames<\/strong> (2:01.44). Liu was the only swimmer under 27 seconds as she won the national title on Wednesday night in East Meadow, New York. Nordmann was fresh off a 200 back win earlier in the night. Sancov swam a 49.78 to win the event on Wednesday night in East Meadow, New York at the Speedo Junior Nationals. Pleasantville&#8217;s <strong>Destin Lasco<\/strong> (50.46) and Lakeside&#8217;s <strong>Alexander Zettle<\/strong> (50.52) followed him.<\/p>\n<p>Nitro&#8217;s <strong>Shaine Casas<\/strong> (50.84), SwimMAC&#8217;s <strong>Jack Walker<\/strong> (50.92), Mississippi Mako&#8217;s <strong>Blaise Vera<\/strong> (51.25), Portland&#8217;s <strong>Sid Farber<\/strong> (51.35) and Boise YMCA&#8217;s <strong>Thomas Roark<\/strong> (51.71) also competed in the championship final.<\/p>\n<p>Sancov has verbally committed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-junior-record-holder-alexei-sancov-verbally-commits-to-usc\/\">Southern Cal<\/a> for the class of 2022. Looney was about fifth place at the 300 turn and swam a 1:02.76 on the last 100. Looney touched at 4:47.42 to out-touch <strong>Kristen Romano<\/strong> (4:47.47) of Long Island and <strong>Katie Glavinovich<\/strong> of Aquazot (4:47.60). This time it was 16-year-old <strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> picking up the 400 IM title after his brother\u00a0Carson won the 200 back earlier. Jake won the 400 IM with a 4:19.40 thanks to a monster back half. Austin Swim Club came out on top at 3:47.87 with <strong>Diana Dunn<\/strong> (56.75), <strong>Dakota Luther<\/strong> (56.75), <strong>Ella Collins<\/strong> (56.92) and <strong>Quinn Schaedler<\/strong> (57.45). They held off a hard charging SwimMAC Carolina who finished second at 3:47.90 with <strong>Sophie Lindner<\/strong> (57.05), <strong>Julia Menkhaus<\/strong> (56.95), <strong>Katie Corbi<\/strong> (57.44) and <strong>Olwyn Bartis<\/strong> (56.46). Lakeside Aquatic Club was winning through 300 meters but ultimately ended up third with a 3:48.26. <strong>Katherine Zenick<\/strong> (57.86), Lauren Pitzer (55.38), Samantha Porter (57.02) and <strong>Kara Eisenmann<\/strong> (58.00) swam for Lakeside.<\/p>\n<p>The fastest split in the field went to <strong>Lucie Nordmann<\/strong> on the anchor for Magnolia Aquatic Club with a 54.83. They anchored with the Foster brothers who have been tearing it up in East Meadow with three individual wins for the two of them. <strong>Gordon Wheeler<\/strong> (52.67), <strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong> (51.35), <strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> (51.52) and <strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> (49.92) swam a 3:25.46 for the win. The Fosters each won an individual event tonight with Jake winning the 400 IM and Carson winning the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p>SwimMAC Carolina finished in second at 3:26.53 with <strong>Will Chan<\/strong> (51.99), <strong>Boyd Poelke<\/strong> (51.75), <strong>Tim Connery<\/strong> (51.94) and <strong>Jack Walker<\/strong> (50.85) swimming for them. Irvine Novaquatics was third at 3:26.79 with <strong>Owen Kao<\/strong> (52.24), <strong>Andrew Koustik<\/strong> (50.98), <strong>Sean Slusiewicz<\/strong> (51.74) and <strong>Hunter Hitchens<\/strong> (51.83).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexei Sancov<\/strong> had the fastest split of the field with a 49.50 on the second leg for Terrapins.
