He still has a great career ahead of him.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Read the full Press Release from SPIRE Institute below:<\/h3>\n<p>GENEVA, OHIO \u2013 August 08, 2017 \u2013SPIRE Institute announced Xander Skinner will go on to compete at McKendree University after training with the SPIRE Swimming Academy. Skinner won many accolades as a swimmer at SPIRE including the 2017 Long Course World Championship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cXander is an extremely talented athlete,\u201d said Thad Schultz, Head Swimming Coach. \u201cHe trains hard and it\u2019s no surprise he\u2019s getting picked up at the collegiate level. He still has a great career ahead of him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Below includes a list of Skinner\u2019s accomplishments while at the SPIRE Swimming Academy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2015 Long Course World Champion<\/li>\n<li>2016 Short Course World Champion<\/li>\n<li>2017 Long Course World Champion<\/li>\n<li>Placed 4th in the 50 Freestyle at African Senior Championships<\/li>\n<li>Placed 5th in the 100 Freestyle at African Senior Championships<\/li>\n<li>Currently holds the Namibia National Records in 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The SPIRE Swimming Academy Program is dedicated to helping each swimmer reach his or her dreams. SPIRE is a United States Olympic and Paralympic Training site and FINA Training Center.
