Hosszu kickstarted the session by bettering her own 100 IM world record, followed quickly by Kromowidjojo eclipsing\u00a0<strong>Sarah Sjostrom&#8217;s<\/strong> five-day old 50 free world record.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu later added another two gold medals to her name.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/2017-fina-world-cup-berlin-day-two.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">FULL DAY TWO RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Schedule of events:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 100 IM<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 200 Free<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 400 Free<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 IM<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary continued to flex her IM prowess with a top showing in the women&#8217;s 100 IM. She kickstarted the final session of the Berlin stop with a world record breaking finish of 56.51 in the women&#8217;s 100 IM. Her time lowers her own 2015 world record of 56.67, set in Netanya, Israel. The Dutch Olympian unleashed a 22.93 to become the first woman to break the 23 second mark in finals of the short course 50 free.<\/p>\n<p>Her time downs the previous world record of 23.10 by Sweden&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong>\u00a0just five days earlier at the Moscow stop of the 2017 FINA World Cup. Amazingly, Sjostrom, herself, also swam beneath her 23.10 world record with a 23.00 showing in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s world record marks the third time in history that Kromowidjojo has either set or tied the world record. She first began her sprinting quest with a 23.24 in 2013, before tying her own world record in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cate Campbell<\/strong> rounded out the podium with a third place finish of 23.62, followed by the Dutch duo of\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Tamara van Vliet<\/strong>. The two stopped the clock at times of 23.93 and 24.01 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aleksandra Urbanczyk<\/strong> (24.31), Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erika Ferraioli<\/strong>
