The fourth day closed out the Lewisville Futures Championships with mixture of distance races and middle distance races. The Aquajets Swim Team took command winning four medals.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s 100 freestyle kicked off the Sunday leg of the championships. Evelyn Bruner<\/strong> of the Alamo Area Aquatic Association took home the gold with a time of 57.63. In second, Alana Palmer<\/strong> of Lincoln Select Swimming finished in 58.05. Brooke West<\/strong> of Team Millennium took home her second medal of the championships with her time of 58.10.<\/p>\n

Reilly Shields <\/strong>of the Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club placed first in the men\u2019s 100 freestyle with a time of 52.13, making him one of only two swimmers to receive a medal every day of the championship. In an exciting finish, both Dalton Lowe<\/strong> of the Spring Swim Team and Stuart Hohm<\/strong> of the Springfield YMCA Swim Team finished in 52.24, leading to a tie for second place.<\/p>\n

Jacob Furlong<\/strong> of the Chicago Wolfpack not only was the other swimmer to receive a medal every day of the championship, but he managed the incredible feat of being the only swimmer to receive a gold medal every day of the championship. Furlong took home his fourth gold after winning the men\u2019s 800 freestyle with his time of 8:18.29. Jack Little <\/strong>of the Jets Aquatic Club returned to the podium with his time of 8:29.46. Matthew Hedman <\/strong>of the Edina Swim Club took third with his time of 8:30.33.<\/p>\n

Patricia Van Law<\/strong> of Highlands Ranch Aquatics took first in the women\u2019s 200 backstroke with her time of 2:17.26. Behind her in a tight race, Berit Quass<\/strong> of Dowling Catholic Riptide finished in a time of 2:20.64, just beating Alamo\u2019s Rachel Rodriguez <\/strong>who finished in 2:20.82.<\/p>\n

Anderson Breazeale <\/strong>of the Aquajets Swim Team took home his first medal in the men\u2019s 200 backstroke with his time of 2:07.92. In second, Alex Wowk<\/strong> of the Waunakee Waves returned to the podium with his time of 2:08.86. Dylan McClain<\/strong> won the first medal of the championship for the Trident Aquatics Club with his time of 2:08.91.<\/p>\n

The final distance event of the championship was the women\u2019s 1500 freestyle. Sara McClendon<\/strong> of the Mansfield Aquatic Club finished in first with a time of 17:15.36. Clare Vetkoetter<\/strong> of Texas Ford Aquatics finished in 17:32.51. Coming in third, Abbey Taute <\/strong>brought the Chicago Wolfpack another medal with her time of 17:39.16.<\/p>\n

Kaitlynn Wheeler <\/strong>of the Springfield YMCA took first in the women\u2019s 200 IM with a time of 2:21.15. Madison Potter <\/strong>of the Aquajets took second with a time of 2:22.82. In third, LJ Fetzko<\/strong> of the Aspen Swim Club finished in 2:23.28.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s 200 IM closed the Lewisville Swim Championships in a close race with Dolan Craine <\/strong>of the Aquajets finishing in 2:08.25. He beat Luke Davis <\/strong>of the American Energy Swim Club who finished in 2:08.51. In third, Hayden Zheng <\/strong>of the Aquajets finished in 2:09.62.<\/p>\n
